About KlipJar
A free, no-account tool for saving public videos — built and run by a small independent team that would rather tell you exactly how it works.
What KlipJar is
KlipJar saves public videos, photos and audio from TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, Pinterest and Reddit. You paste a link, pick a quality, and get the file — no account, no app install, no watermark added by us. It works on a phone or a computer and is available in English, Indonesian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish and Hindi.
Alongside the website there is a free browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that can save Instagram and Facebook videos you already have access to, using your own signed-in session. An Android app is in testing.
Who runs it
KlipJar is built and operated by BeyondITL Inc., a small independent software company. BeyondITL is a registered DMCA service provider with the U.S. Copyright Office (registration DMCA-1080590), so there is a real, accountable operator behind the site and a published route for rights-holders.
KlipJar is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any of the platforms it works with.
How it works
When you paste a link, our server asks the platform which files that public post publishes and sends the file addresses back to your browser. For most platforms your browser then downloads straight from the platform. TikTok and Pinterest do not allow that, so for those two our server streams the file through to you without saving it. When video and audio come as separate tracks, they are joined inside your own browser.
Nothing you download is stored by us, and we keep no history of the links you paste. The full detail — including every outside service involved — is in the Privacy Policy.
What KlipJar will not do
- Download from YouTube, or from any paid or DRM-protected service.
- Get around a login wall, a private account, an age gate or any other protection on the website — it only reads what a logged-out visitor can already see.
- Ask for your social-media password, ever.
- Charge you, put features behind a paywall, or make you create an account.
- Show pop-ups, pop-unders or ads that redirect the page.
KlipJar is meant for saving your own posts and content you have the right to keep. The Terms of Use set that out in plain English.
How KlipJar is paid for
Servers cost money, so the site carries one ad slot, clearly separated from the tool. In October 2026 we found that an ad network’s script was redirecting some visitors to scam pages. We removed it the same day, and ads now run only inside an isolated, sandboxed frame on a separate address that cannot redirect the page, read what you paste or start a download. We wrote up the warning signs of unsafe downloader sites in a guide.
If KlipJar saves you time, you can also leave a tip on Ko-fi. It is entirely optional and changes nothing about how the tool works for you.
