Why do Reddit videos from other tools have no sound?
Reddit publishes the picture and the audio as two separate files. A tool that grabs only the video stream leaves you with a silent MP4. KlipJar fetches both tracks and merges them, so the file you save plays with sound.
Where does the merge happen?
In your browser. The two tracks travel from Reddit to your device and are joined locally, with no upload and nothing to install. If your browser cannot run the merge, you are offered the video and the audio as separate files instead.
Can I get audio only?
Yes. Pick the MP3 option and the sound track is converted on your device once it has downloaded.

Both, along with the standard www.reddit.com address and the share links the mobile app produces.
Do I need a Reddit account or the app?
Neither. Paste the link into any browser and the merge runs there — no sign-in, and nothing to install. Posts in private, restricted or quarantined subreddits stay out of reach, since a logged-out request cannot see them.
Which quality can I pick?
Reddit encodes each video at several heights — 1080, 720, 480 and downwards. They are listed largest first, and the audio track is identical whichever you choose.
