Instagram Video Downloader
Public Reels and video posts, saved as plain MP4 files. No login involved.
How to download from Instagram
- 01
Copy the Reel or post link
Tap the paper-plane icon under the post and choose Copy link. On the web, open the ••• menu on the post and pick Copy link there.
- 02
Paste it here
The shape of the link does not matter: /reel/, /p/ and /tv/ addresses all point at the same post.
- 03
Get the video
A carousel lists every clip on its own row, so you can save one of them or work through the lot.

Instagram questions
Why do some Instagram links come back as "login required"?
Instagram serves a growing share of posts only to signed-in visitors. The site never signs in and never borrows anyone's session, so when Instagram asks for a login you get an honest error rather than a workaround, and the wall is applied unevenly so the same link sometimes works later. When it is your own content, the optional KlipJar browser extension can save it from the session you are already signed in to.
Can I download Stories or highlights?
No. Both need an account to view, which means there is nothing for a logged-out request to read. The same goes for private accounts: following one gives you access, not us.
Do carousel posts work?
Yes. Every video in a public carousel appears as its own item with its own download button, so a five-clip post gives you five files.
Does it work for photo posts, or only video?
KlipJar is built for video, so a Reel or a video post is what it reads. A still-image post has no video stream to extract, and your browser's own save-image option is the right tool there.
Which quality do I get?
Instagram normally publishes one rendition per Reel, so most downloads have a single option and no choice to make. Where alternates exist, they show up in the dropdown largest first.
Do I need the Instagram app or a browser extension?
For public Reels and video posts, neither — paste the link into any browser and save. For your own login-only posts, there is an optional free KlipJar extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox that saves them from the Instagram session you are already signed in to. It is a companion for content the site cannot reach logged-out, not something you need for public videos.
Where do the files save?
In your browser downloads: the Files app on iOS, the Downloads folder on Android and desktop. The video goes from Instagram to your device without passing through us.
Is there a fee or a daily limit?
No to both. KlipJar is free, there is no sign-up, and no quota counts how many Reels you save.
